Headwaters Non-Paid Intern Description

We are currently accepting applications for a Fall 2021 Non-Paid College Internship

The unpaid internship requires a minimum commitment of 12 hours a week.  Schedule is variable 2-5 days per week; 4-8 hours per day.  Commitments of larger blocks of time (6+ hours/day) will allow for more varied experiences with more time in the field.  Applicants must be currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate students at the time of the internship.  The internship schedule is flexible, but typically aligns with the office hours of 7:30 am – 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday.  The proposed start date of the internship is September 8, 2021 and the proposed end date is December 3, 2021.  These dates are flexible, as school schedules vary and will affect intern availability.  Evaluations and reviews may be conducted to provide feedback.  General timekeeping is expected. Headwaters SWCD interns will be required to follow the current office COVID-19 policies and procedures in place at the time of the internship.

The ideal applicant would have interest in agriculture and conservation as well as desire to learn more about Headwaters SWCD programs and implementation.

To Apply: Send application package including: resume, three (3) references, a college transcript (unofficial acceptable), and a cover letter outlining: intern’s potential start and end dates, weekly availability (hours available M-F), interest in the internship position with the Headwaters SWCD, and any restrictions that may be associated with outdoor activities (so the District can make necessary accommodations)The Headwaters SWCD will work with students receiving course credit for their internship, please indicate if you will be receiving credit in your letter.
